Looks like a rusty bolt and a rusty piece of metal
..sure, it dissolved, only a empty space left.
funny the rock is super old, older than known humans or humanoid apes.
few things been digged up, which age and looks does not make sense.

Pot will be legal here in Canada next year.
Just now the government and the provinces are debating on how best to divi up the profits. I get the feeling that pot will end up being cheaper from the street corner dealer.

I can remember Ford Anglia's looking like that within 8 years.Looks like a rusty bolt and a rusty piece of metal

One of the current subjects debated by talking heads hereabouts is how / where to allocate licensing for "consumption lounges", while keeping out the tobacco smokers - for which some airports have dedicated rooms. While the plants themselves are not thorny, the issues dealing with full scale legalization, and the distribution of resulting tax revenues will certainly be
One of my uncles had a Ford Anglia. He still has it in working order but not in perfect condition. From what I read here, Ford Anglia - Wikipedia it is a super 123E model. The interesting thing is that the chassis of that car was fully galvanized and protected from rust, something proven in my uncle's car. I can't find anything written about that though.I can remember Ford Anglia's looking like that within 8 years.
Ford Anglia, Overlooked as the Mini entered the market at the same time. When reinvented as the Escort it was noticed.
I was listening to the BBC the other day and someone said they had found milk in containers near stonehenge from the period. Lets take it they did. Then the usual nonsense. " Humans could not digest lactose then so what were they doing with it, making chese most likely ". This is nonsence. We can't know that.
Some were saying the Pyramids of Eygpt have water marks at the bases so it proves it was not desert then. Herodotus wrote of canels to transport on boats right up to the Pyramids.
What I find you can test from the past is ideas and engineering. Herodotus talks about the calculation needed to make a Surf rather than a Slave. To this very day most live as one or the other. Mr H thought the Eygption interest in maths came from dividing land and finding more land to divide should floods wash a mans living away. Almost the best we do today. These are things written which we can test. We don't need to agree. Just understand it.
I think I heard pots that are 8000 years old held wine ( Iraq area I think ). That is interesting as both wine and pots need very modern thinking, industry. Allowing for carbon dating not being 100% it still says 2000 years before buildings on Malta. If you have never visited Malta you should.

This appears to be morphing into the next Blowtorch Preamp thread...nearly 98,000 posts and everything is discussed except the preamp. I suppose flat earthers would argue with the classical form of the gravitational equation:
F = GMm/R^2
since that is the inexorable force that draws large astronomical bodies into spherical shapes as the minimum energy configuration. Has any flat earther explained the FE theory of gravitation and how it allows for stable non-sperical large planets?

I had it explained that there is no such thing as gravity. The flat earth is constantly accelerating and that acceleration creates the force we call gravity.
The problem is if we accelerate at 9.8M/s/s, we exceed the speed of light in less than a day.
The person I was talking to was at a loss to explain what force was causing the flat earth to constantly accelerate, nor why it did not tumble and throw everyone off.

Gimp...at 1G it takes just under a year (354 days) to reach C:
2.998x10^8 m/s divide by 9.8 m/s^2 =
3.06x10^7 seconds divide by 8.64x10^4 sec/day = 354.1 days
Did the person say whether all of the other obviously sperical large bodies in the solar system also accelerate at 1G, or does Jupiter accelerate at 2.4G and the Sun at 28G in order to provide the proper level of respective surface gravity there. Yes this flat Earth explanation is much simpler and has many fewer internal inconsistencies!

math screw up. I got just under a year with English units, then messed up with metric.
Either way there is a problem with exceeding the speed of light which he would not explain.
All the other bodies are supposed to be relatively close to the flat earth, on the Dome.

The beauty of vacuum powered wipers is they go really fast when you are sitting still and almost not at all at very high speeds...just like you need them to

Since we are in the Lounge, and if no rules other than being OT are broken, and you grasp the title before entering the thread, the Mod team does not wish to break up the party nor negatively influence it unnecessarily.
My Ford Anglia 100E was ok when the earth was flat, any deviation from the horizontal was a challenge though both up and down
I remember being given a 105E estate, the sills and floor pans had rusted through but I managed to hang on to it for 2 years by getting dodgy MOT'sI owned a Ford Anglia 100E, the first to have struts, 3 speed manual and vacuum powered windscreen wipers. It couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding
It was possible to buy really thin gauge sills and box sections that fitted over the old rusted ones, I'm not sure that they fooled the inspectors.

Cal,
Not a complaint, just an observation...I assume the momentum of general conversation and seeking the next higher number of posts threshold overtakes any on-topic OCD bias eventually.
That is not trolling. I've done the observations, you can not see it. Yes, you can take photos with a wide angle lens that curves all straight lines and point to those. Many amateur high altitude balloon flights do just that. They show the curvature of the earth from aloft. Oddly they also show the curvature of the parking lot where they were launched. 😉 It's a shame they don't use non-distorting lens, because then they could actually point to some nice evidence.
You can also do online research that tells you that the curvature of the Earth becomes visible starting at about 70K feet above the surface. I have not visited that altitude to confirm it. Very few people have.
FWIW, I took a photo taken on the Bedford canal in England that is the only photo I know of to show the curvature of the Earth from ground level. Maybe.
Anyone who has has been to the ocean and looked at the horizon has potentially seen the curvature of the earth. I'm surprised to hear people say you can't see it unless you're high up. I've had no trouble at all seeing it from the beach ...
I don't know, flat earthers, conspiracy theorists, have a lot to explain, lol
Where does the Earth end? How is it that you can fly or sail West off the coast of California to get to Japan or other eastern countries. How does cellular communication work? Why the conspiracy? Is everyone who has navigated the Earth a liar? Why hasn't Wikileaks revealed the truth? Why can't you all show undeniable evidence that the Earth is indeed flat? Shouldn't be too hard, if you are correct.
Amazingly, my Astronomical Physics class instructors all had me fooled? All conspiring against us ignorant students.
