It's pretty simple really...there are 8 (or 9, maybe 10) planets orbiting the Sun and a few dozen natural satellites orbiting those planets. All of them (including the Sun) except the very tiniest are quite spherical allowing for some rotational bulging at the equator. The gravity of large astronomical bodies has only one stable solution...the sphere!
Also, long flights on airliners do provide rather direct evidence. In the many times I flew from Detroit to Japan, China or South Korea back when I was a working slog the route flew pretty much straight north from Detroit (often with a view of the Mackinac Bridge) then across Canada and northern Alaska (plenty of snow on summer flights) and down the east side of Asia. What rational airline would burn fuel flying north for hours from Detroit (latitude 42 degrees) crossing 10 degrees latitude to reach destinations whose latitude is only modestly north of Detroit at mid-30s degrees.
While we're at it why does it take nearly as long to fly from the West Coast of the USA to these destinations as it does from Detroit. There are topics where serious people can debate our understanding of science, physics, astrophysics, etc...whether the Earth is (nearly) spherical isn't one of them.

That is correct, it's a polar projection of a globe - labeled as a flat earth map. A good flat Earth map will have those continent shapes corrected. I have one somewhere, will try to dig it up.

Nice...the North Pole at the equator doesn't create any inconsistencies? Oh and how exactly do the longer and shorter days at high latitudes work with this geography? Oh that's right...it only needs to answer the flight path questions and a holistic picture that explains all observations isn't required.
