No, it's not, that's why the water doesn't flow over the edge but doesn't explain why it's frozen

Flat earthers believe in a sky dome. Maybe the frozen edge is out of the dome?

If you think about it the Earth being a globe is easier. However for many reasons flat is fine. I was very surprised to find the curve I thought I saw from an aircraft was my imagination. Quantum stuff teaches that the not so obvious might actually work. Always keep an open mind.

The mystery of the H shaped stones of Puma Punku gives me plenty to question. We would be hard pushed to make them now and goodness knows how we would get them there. They even have dovetail openings. To my eyes the designs are quite ugly which seems a lot of work for something looking like 1930's factory style buildings.

The 6000 year people should know the word Day and Era can be mixed up in early Hebrew. Taking 550 million years as era one ( light being possible when the universe cool enough, best estimate I understand ) and how time is a funny old thing we wouldn't be far wrong. Not least if Earths age is six era's more to add on. One question this got me to ask is would time in a compact universe be different to now. One might guess light speed is a function of gravity density. As the stuff spreads out could light speed be changing very slightly over millions of years?

BTW Pano. The speakers you helped me with using 12 Lta are great.

This extended discussion about a group of people who, ignoring 500 (or 2,500) years of solid scientific evidence choose to cling to an arcane and non-rational belief system should be closed, as I thought this forum disallowed discussions of religion.

Science is the triumph of commonsense. It also is imperfect and needs constant questioning.

For some science commonsense applies but hardly so in the area of quantum physics. The constant questioning is integral to the scientific method as a theory that has stood for hundreds of years (Newtonian gravitation for example) can be toppled by a theory that better fits observations.
