Hi Nelson, with regards to the above quote - if not already done, would it be possible to do that F5 pcb layout with laterals so that it could accommodate both TO3 and plastic pack types?I have two similar upcoming releases for this year, one of which which is an F5 with laterals
and the other which is the Twilight Zone edition....
When we did F5 with laterals it was a simple matter of crossing the drain and source pins, and a teflon tube to insulate them from each other. Of course gain had to be adjusted as well (along with elimination of current limiters and thermistors, both not needed with LATMOS), but they sounded nicer than the stock/VMOS F5. IIRC we ran three pairs at 1.6A to get similar OLG to a single pair of VMOS at 1.3A.
I'll wait for the official release, but our misguided venture indeed was excellent.

it's already here , its an F7Heaven! Cannot wait for that.

Hi Nelson, uncle, which is the twilinghz Zone edition?
Best Regards for you and the rest of the mafia

Wasn't there pictures of an oscilloscope screen at the beginning of early editions of the Twilight Zone ?
The F5L would be similat to the vertical edition, but uses up my inventory of NOS Alfet pairs.
The SIT-5 uses available Tokins, but I suppose that's just wishful thinking.....way too soon after release. Old age really doesn't bother me that much, but lately I've taken to crossing my fingers. 😉I have two similar upcoming releases for this year, one of which which is an F5 with laterals

That would be "The Outer Limits"Wasn't there pictures of an oscilloscope screen at the beginning of early editions of the Twilight Zone ?
Well, maybe we could at least skip (or leapfrog) the F8?I have a long list...

It would be great to have a pcb only option for those of us who have received a quad of Alfet from Nelson! They are waiting patiently here in my stash! 😎The F5L would be similat to the vertical edition, but uses up my inventory of NOS Alfet pairs.
