I think the Dr bott only works for Macs.
Found some interesting info on the SGI monitors running on VGA.

Some caveats with these monitors:
1) If you use the PCI video card, then you will not be able to view DVD
movies.
2) When you first hook up the multilink display, you need to adjust the
monitor to center it on screen. You only need to do this once, but it will
lose its settings if the power goes out.
3) The multilink adapter does work with SVGA connections, but it just
displays the information at 1280 x 1024 resolution.
4) I have found that the wide format 1600 x 1024 resolution is the sharpest
and clearest, and lower resolutions are not as focused. If you don't have
decent eyesight, you might want to stay away from this monitor

if is it worth buying an SGI 320 to drive the 1600SW.
can the SGI 320 handle HD + mpeg2 DVD's and the like?
just wanna know if it's worth my looking into buying one ... they look cheap enough ... rather then trying to use adapters for PC.
