I love music and I think every musician needs to hearing protection while performing a show. Every people needs to be protect their hearing aslo because if they visit to the live content then they will distrub by the heavy noise from the musical instrument. But now a days we don't care the hearing loss, If you do your hearing test then you will see how was the worse has been done with the ears in past. So this is time time of hearing protection.
