Dave, have you experimented going fully aperiodic with the FE127E?

A little bit... it is pretty easy to kill off all the extension, it is a good option when coupling to a pair of woofers.

After some indecision between the Fe103e and the Fe127e I ended getting the Fe127e's. I also, scrapped the idea of buying the Dayton cabinets. Instead, I built a set of .25cu ft boxes myself. I know they're smaller than the recommended volume but they sound great - I haven't even installed a port yet. I can't wait for them to break in.

The boxes came out ok (can't say the same for my staining job) and I definitely have a new found respect for the craftsmanship that goes into creating the beautifully finished enclosures on diy forums and from manufacturers like Omega.

I also want to add that this is one nice looking driver!

Are you using a sub with them?

No sub but I don't really feel a need. I only finished them yesterday and they seem to fill my 12x12 (Brooklyn, NY) living room quite nicely.
