It is what the saying was trying to convey, but the contrast between journey and destination (goal) is lost in the translation.
As a trained translator (among others), I do not have one myself that I am happy enough with to post.

yup , language is , usually , more than just words ...
but I have impression that we understood you pretty well - there is similar saying in many languages ...

Very much looking forward to the results...We now have 10 in our hands. 😉

A useful hint to those using Toshiba & Linear Systems JFETs :

Drain & Source are reversible, more so for Toshiba's.

Is there a schematic available?
There was an old schematics in the original F5X thread right at the beginning, around 2008.
All updated documentation related to the standard version based on this PCB will be published once the boards have been tested functional, by the test team.
These include schematics, bill of material, component placement, etc.
We are currently waiting for regulator PCBs (expected 1st week of July, and then they will be on their way to the test team members.
So I expect 1st results end of July.

Here is the schematics of the first ever F5X I built :

I am using an all JFET pre, similar to Borbely topology but with no global loop feedback.

just as an aside and to keep us bobbing along, apart from having more power, how does the F5X compare to the F5 sonically?

I said this once already at the original F5 thread.
I have only been building balanced Class A amplifiers since 2003 (apart from a Gainclone for my sister), and I have not built the single ended F5.
So I cannot possibly answer that question.
Nelson is the person to ask.
