I am very late in this thread, but will ask anyway. I just built an FT to full satisfaction. Now I want to take the next step to balanced, and started looking into the F5X. One of the differences of the F5X design and Nelson Pass' outlook to balanced in his F5T paper are the transistors Q3, Q4, Q17 and Q18. There are in the F5X, but not in Nelson's design. I searched both this forum and the F5X EUVL Approach thread, but could not find an explanation for these transistors. Can any one help me there? Also, the types BC560C and BC550C are no longer available, so I need replacements.
Sorry to be late, these are the matched MOSFETS and jfets for the F5X, there is a designed in missmatch between the P and N-channel mosfets, with the vgs at the matching current being what is on the labels. @Chrisr3521
These look like the ones that I got as part of this group buy (Edit: this was not arranged by Xen, but was a group effort, see below).
Due to my life going off the rails, mine are still in the original packaging from that GB.
Edit: I was just looking for toshiba fets in the buy swap just now and it seems he sold them in 2022 Here anyway.

The first batch was a group project where people shared the work.
The FETs came from the group buy.
As far as I can remember from 12 years ago, they were not matched by xen.
We label and pack things differently.
