GB is full with no extras and folks waiting. I have enough fets for one more in about a month after the kits have shipped.
I am in this round. I am just getting everything together and realized that I don't know exactly what is in the kit.
You are getting evrything but the main boards from Tea, and other incidentals like RCA jacks, Binding post, EIC inlet, switch.
Buzz one more question. What was the rating of the diode heatsinks you included on the last GB?

Dont remember. ill look it up. They are plenty for the job, as I have a V2 currently running on much smaller sink and they are not even a problem.
What I can say based on my test v2, you don't need them. With 0.35mV over 0R5 they have almost ambient temp. Trust me I touch them every 5 min 🙂
Yup, point of mounting them to the sink is to intentionall y bring the temp up so they will cut on sooner. Off main sink allows for higher biasing, but be careful😀
Coming right along on time! This time, I went for the "Deluxe" Big box and the stuffings for the back panel. Definitely could have save a little and constructed them from 1/8 inch aluminum like my last build. Those aluminum boxes are very strong once done, but it is nice not to have to contend with piles of aluminum shavings which turn up everywhere for weeks! These boxes actually look very finished.
The kit of electrical socket for the power cord, the RCA jacks and the the speaker binding posts fit nicely into the precut rear panel of the power amp's chassis.
While I had to cut the rear panel on the Pearl 2 unit myself, but it was pretty easy drilling and fitting these few pieces. One hole for the power in, (the mic plug recommended by 6L6) one for the ground post, two for the input RCAs, and two for the output RCAs.
As soon as the F-5 turbo parts kits arrive, (sounds like it wont be too much longer before they go out) and the completion of the transformer buy, that will be everything and I can begin to build!
Pearl 2 is coming to completion, just need a permanent chassis for its power supply.
