8 Hexfreds heat up a plate to almost 60°C
So do not use HEXFREDs (or at least not HFA08tb60)
Sorry guys... bailing out, will build a normal F5 first before venturing into Turbo...
You know, with these boards you can build a normal F5 and then have the flexibility to turbo it later.
Rush
Prototype boards should be arriving tomorrow.
Quite exciting............
Excited too!
Just arrived.
They look stunning in black !!!
Maybe they'll sound better with a blacker background.
Guys... What do you think about using the case of this amplifier to build F5T?
It was an amp made around 20 years ago.
It's original specs (don't know how true they were, perhaps a little too pretencious given 950VA power consume on max. signal):
200W RMS @ 8 Ohm
325W RMS @ 4 Ohm
The case dimensions are:
420 x 185 x 430 mm (WxHxD)
PS: The fins are bigger then they appear on the photos. I'm going to measure them myself and post them here.
More photos/specs:
AUDIORAMA - Equipamentos de Audio - NASHVILLE A77is
AUDIORAMA - Equipamentos de Audio - NASHVILLE Amplificador
Thanks!

Daniel - That chassis look like it could handle a F5v2 easily. I like it.
It seems I won't be able to use the diodes, right? There won't be enough room to place the two output boards on top of the other with the diodes, because of the case height, and the depth is not enough for allowing them side by side.
