chinese businessman is clever guy... they know, that they have one month for delivery... after that, they will try some trick, how to extend time with negotiation...so , after two months, and your payment, of course after ebay inviting, you'll get your article 🙂 and they have our money for all that time... btw I know, that in to my country will take shipping one week.... 😀

A F5Tv2 will sound very similar to the F5. It has a bit less feedback and parallel outputs, so it's a teeny bit smoother and more refined. Also, with the additional power, it will clip later, and the sound of an amp, IMO, is how graceful or not it clips. It has P3, so you can also tune it to taste.

That said, if the power of the F5 was fine, build an Aleph J. It's a very different amp from the F5, very wonderful. You will love it. 🙂

I thought that the F5 turbo had a more authoritative sound than the F5 but do you think that is just because it has more power or something else ? it felt stronger even at low levels. Actually the F5 turbo scared me it was that lifelike and powerful, which I like. I wonder why F5 did not sound like this to me ?
The F5 bias was about 75% of what nelson suggested and so was the F5t.

why just 75 %? In my set the sound of f5 was also a bit lean, although it had veery bottom extension with incredible detail.
after biasing the F5 with 0.75V instead of 0.6 (forgot in how many amps this sourceresistorvoltage results) its superhappyperfect. I sorryly don´t know what higer biasing does (besides of lowering distortion) to the specs concerning current and so on.
so simply try higer bias if u dont need the power of F5T (watch heatsinks of course)

I've had good luck ordering items from Asia too. But mostly inexpensive items. I wouldn't order rare parts like Toshiba JFETS. Too many counterfeits. There's a lot of counterfeit car parts too. Especially Toyota. Good service as long as you know what you're buying and don't expect the real McCoy for bargain prices.

If that doesn't work, assuming your preamp is up to the task, annotate a schematic with your voltage readings. Perhaps there is a fault we can help you diagnose.

F5 connected to Smartphone now it's very good.
Bah...! B1 is very good with gainclone , but not with my cd player and F5.
