Yes of course, what values are you suggesting? Can one just leave them out? I searched those posts you mentioned. DIYHarry suggested 1000uF.
be a FAB... use 220uF to 1000uF ... its got the correct current return path if you connect spk- here....

sry, thought on bybass caps...but this is wrong...
it is decoupling for nearest possible power delivery (lowest ESR)
