Re: UK Group Buy
I will have to see, being on the island like yourself, it may be unreasonable doing a GB, as i would have to most probably buy in from the US, just to export again 🙁. (Import Duty).

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from doing a group buy, but if you look at the parts that make up the bulk of the BOM cost (the chips), the quantity discount is not that great. The following are prices from digi-key for buying individual vs. 25:
PCM1794 goes from $16.64 to $14.98
AD1896 goes from $20 to $18
CS8416 goes from $9.80 to $8.71
FWIW, the only "deal" that I ever thought made sense for a group buy on this project (aside from the board, itself) is S22083:
Price Break ($)
1 9.20000
10 6.32500
25 4.60000
50 3.68000
Even that, by the time you take into account shipping, it doesn't make that much sense.

Indeed, having a look myself it is not worth it. The only way it would be worth it if you would kindly volunteer
😉

This is one of the (unstated) reasons I don't sell kits. It saves you guys a little bit of time, but it would be a nightmare for me!

I'm still waiting for the boards.
Unlikely, but if there's anyone from Calgary on the list you can email me and I can buy parts for both.

Same here... maybe there's someone from the Netherlands to buy at least the digikey parts together?
Is it too late to be included in the group buy? I would like to get two boards if possible. Thanks for the effort and design either way.

***GROUP BUY WILL LAST UNTIL END OF FEBRUARY***

Hello,
Is it possible to replace the standard suggested clock with this one ?
Seems to have very good specs.

Thanks for your answer

Upsampling
This my be a stupid question but when I was going through the overview of the DAC I noticed that the input signal was upsampled to 96kHz then converted, what happens if the input is already 24bit 96kHz?

Re: Upsampling
The ASRC will still do its "magic" to it.
