Has anyone tried to bring an external clean regulated power to PCI sound card in a PC?
Apparently 3.3 Volts is what is needed to power up the card in a PCI slot.
I am thinking of doing so for Lynx L22 sound card so that it is not powered by switching PSU in PC, but I have no clue how it would be done, if I would have to lift up one leg on card’s PCI bus connector, or…?

but the PC's ground is very noisy,so even if you would bring external regulated supply to the card ,you would still have to connect the GND,so i don't see the point...

I assume there is really nothing that could be done about the ground, other than designing your own motherboard?
