ESS AMT1 Crossover. What cap values should I use? So many different versions.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'm testing this on the bench with just the woofer at the moment with a sweep test and the woofer is running full range, with or without the inductor. I can't find any mistakes.

EDIT: So the tweeter has to be in the circuit for the woofer to crossover it seems. I'm a bit new to really doing the deep dive on crossovers.

The inputs should be paralleled. So no - you shouldn’t need one connected to get the other to work..
I built the crossover and put them back together. They sound tweeter heavy. Thinking I should add an L-Pad or a resistor in front of the tweeter

On the notebook paper version of the schematic, there is a series 1 ohm and parallel 10 ohm resistor on the heil. That settled that down nicely for us. Takes it down by 3db. Also run the heil out of phase with the woofer.

I do have those resistors in place as your first schematic shows.
Did you find the sound changed audibly as caps etc broke in?

Maybe I was listening too close to them. I'm also used to much higher end speakers. I hear why people don't like the mids from the Heil.

I didn’t really notice much change over the time we used that configuration , no. Truly a case of just because it can go down to 500 cps. Doesn’t mean it should. : )

I'm listening a bit more casually now with the amp/preamp the client will be using. I've got a record playing. It is sounding pretty decent at the moment.
I ran a sweep test and used the db meter on my phone and things looked to be reasonably even.

The client's system seems to be a good match for these. The Sansui 2000 as a preamp gives a warm and laid back sound which seems to even out these speakers nicely. And the Kenwood power amp gives them more power than the Sansui would.
The 10 inch cabinet (with the port in the bottom) was by far our favorite and that crossover sure did a nice job when we changed to that. If you don’t need to fill a stadium with sound. That setup gets along really well with (2) Amp Camp Amp(s) in the parallel mode.
