Well I know that JRiver will convert PCM to DSD for output, so you could do EQ that way, but it doesn't help you for files in DSD format. 🙁

What if you converted your DSD files to PCM high bit rate, then after real time EQ have your player output in DSD format?

Sure, that can work in a practical manner if you have no other way.

But... why would you convert your DSD into PCM when you have a native DSD [no]DAC?

[ DSD ] -> [ PCM ] -> [ Process(PCM) ] -> [ DSD ]. That's quite a lossy process. You will start having an audible loss in quality from the various format conversions, ending up not benefitting as much from DSD.

Always keep DSD as DSD (you can consider upconverting lower rate DSD to higher rate DSD) or process it as analogue.

To EQ them in the digital domain. If I understand it, that's what Felipe wanted to do because there isn't any easy way to EQ a DSD stream. But instead of baking the EQ into the converted file, it could be converted and saved flat, then EQ done real time as it plays.

Not ideal, I agree. But if you want to digitally EQ a DSD recording, I can't see another way. It's just that I would not EQ the files during conversion, just afterward while playing in real time. Then the DSD files become just like the PCM files.
