I want to be able to hear the difference in dynamics and odd harmonics by ear, but for this I just need to remove the amplitude of a track from the other, the residual I will amplify by a certain db factor which is the residual distortion and listen to what it sounds like.
Yes, it is easy to do with dummy load and speakers. It will be obvious that the SS amp will have the cleanest output, even with crappy parts and opamps in the signal...

yes, but I want to listen to only what it does higher level and a second test what it plays lower than master
if I invert I get both higher and lower volume sounds indiscriminately

THis will do it Bohrok!!!
I just have a problem right now with Audacity as both files appear to be the same which makes no sense.
I used both files which don't have same amplitudes etc. the original and the dac recorded, Delta cannot see any difference...

I don't know , I recorded both files, imported in Audacity,
in Audacity I aligned them bit to bit + matched volume level 0.001 db average
then I exported each file by using selection and muting the other....
the files are different but the program wont play and the comparison doesn't work.
-------
I let the program running for 1 hour, then clicked again to compare, now it works, the differences are very small!!!

jitter was 1.5us and the tube (right) was 1.2us ...
I did my recordings at 24 bits 96kpsb
The master is 16bits 44kbps
The software says that it is bit perfect at 16.5 bit !!!
which means there should be 0% difference... As I can confirm I cannot hear any difference.
With the tube DAC there is just a little more noise which is inaudible in reality.

The correlated null is very low which means that matching is not good. Can you show the DeltaWave setup page and Results tab.
ok a moment, just the last few seconds are not workingThe correlated null is very low which means that matching is not good. Can you show the DeltaWave setup page and Results tab.
That is not a good match. Null depth is below 14dB and files match below 2 bits (1.82/1.85 bits). There seems to be clipped samples as well.
there was no clipping, its -0.115 db peak.
The only thing is that the end of the sample is different, one continues longer, I could trim it and see
