The carrying capacity is 1A, which seems low.

Here's my mistake. The original schematic Single Tube amplifier calls for 200vac output from the Trans and I have 250.

This schematic at 200V B+ sucks more than 40mA from HV PSU.
The Triad 22mA would be inadequate.
