Hi,
Why didn't you use an EC86? It is rather more linear.

1, in the production of this tube amp, I have not EC86
2, EC88 curve you just see it was not very good from the manufacturers to provide the curve, if you practice, and then choose a good operating point, EC88 as good curve, around the same level with the use of very low distortion .
3, EC86 where the application may not be better than EC88.
4 There are many better transistor curve here, I chose EC88. "tube amp" test results have been good, indicating EC88 apply here is very good.

Thank you for your suggestion

This is indeed nice and great piece of work done on the amp. How much is the cost if I'm interested to buy it?

diy tube amp often can not be used to sell. This station tube amplifier took me nearly two months to complete. As can be seen from the picture, each component is hand designed and completed. Cabinet panels, wooden base, anodizing, sandblasting, the transformer cover, the internal circuit production and design, production transformers, etc., etc. cnc just handmade used by the
Its heavy workload, there is no mass, then only own DIY one, all the work needed to do it again. Its labor costs are very alarming. It touches on the materials cost can be ignored.
Labor costs would need at least two months 5000USD, this price is unacceptable, so the DIY tube amplifier suitable for sale.

I hope you can understand. can not accept and acknowledge DIY labor costs, and generally do not consider buying a tube amp diy
