Have you read the reviews on his website?
Many of his customers are waiting for 'burn in' to improve the quality.
I should think the devices will literally 'burn' in given the quality of the mains side wiring!

That guy is a genius.
I bet he shows guts on purpose.
Inverse darwinism, selection of the less fit.
Those like us with some clue will be horrified and NOT buy from him.
Those who have NO CLUE but see "toobz" and fine wood front panels but more important, believe in burn in, cap brand and colour, silver wires, etc. are his **perfect** Customers.
Will pay through the nose,do not complain, defend him on Forums and, most important, find his products the best sounding in the World, what´s not to like?

The product is bad but the internet promotion work of this guy has been done well, just check the Gooogle results. This very thread is increasing its Google visibility because the site is now referenced by a high traffic forum. It may be an attempt to build a brand name, check the market and build a list of prospect customers. This marketing strategy is becoming more common. We don't know if the products are sold for real and actually shipped to customers. If they are not, then the glaring safety issues cannot be sanctioned.
PROFESSIONALY?
This is like watching an episode of The Twilight Zone.
"Professionally Hand Made"????
Professionally???????????
That's an insult to me personally!
This.....person..... whoever it is..... must be on hard drugs.
Damn that's ugly!
He's got a webpage: Professionally Hand Made Audio Products, Passive Preamplifiers, Silver RCA Cables, Silver Mains Cables, Audiophle DACs
These works of art are made in the UK. I would have guessed a far less developed country.

Same guy puts an aliexpress DAC board in a box, throws in a bunch of junk and a bucket of hot melt, and sells it for 750.
At least he put a grommet on the mains cable for that one 😱

Indeed!
All the "pretty words" in the world can't make this crap better or safer.
The consumer safety associations should be contacted and alerted to this abomination.
My favourite from this seller is this excerpt from their "Silver Audio Interconnects"
So what are they? Silver or copper? Schrodinger's cables?
silver wire with RCA plugs that are gold and copper.
What makes me wonder is the fact that they show these innards on their advertisement. A first glance on this pile of crap shows that safety requirements are grossly violated: It is prohibited to bring such stuff to the market. Period.
Does ebay have those rules? If they do have them, do they have staff that is knowledgeable enough to be able to tell what items are and aren't from the pictures? Are they really willing to lose their income on the sales of questionable items?

Ahh, the irony of google; any publicity is good publicity. Even if every comment is negative about a site or video just having a link will raise the site or video in the search results. We need some sort of inside secret way to link to junk like that; maybe something like putting "notlink" at the end of the domain name and delete it when following the link.
In reality, do ebay or google/youtube really care if someone gets injured as long as they make money. I just watched a 'how to cook that' video where she debunks 'kitchen hack' videos and some people that try to do the fake hacks end up with 3rd degree burns because not only do they not work but they can be very dangerous. She has notified youtube about the videos and some injuries have made the news; but youtube leaves the videos up, because more views means more money for them.

My favorite part of that is the splitting plywood from the screws…
I can only imagine what the shipping container would be like, maybe a newspaper and a collection of postage stamps?
Epay is a buyer beware deal, have seen stuff like this before too.
I think you nailed it. So it makes absolutely sense to show the mess inside. That guy is a genius.

Btw, you should look into your postbox
Remember the guy called "Lampizator"? He started somewhere. Perhaps not as badly executed as this guy at the beginning, but I think the base idea has some similarity - put a tube in the signal path, surround it with fancy-schmancy, "exotic" components - and sell, sell, sell.
20 years later, international following, Chinese manufacturing with safety certs, a US website, two different Euro websites - probably has employees doing designs he now merely directs and oversees...
I think our ebay focus has his eyes set on coming up to "Lampizator" level in time; got to start somewhere...learn along the way.

If you don't know or understand Electrical Codes, Liability issues, design Safety procedures, and all the other important fundamentals of manufacturing, you shouldn't even pick up a damn soldering iron.
As for that joker's website and reviews, they likely could be Fake to entice others, common in todays internet world.

£1,000.00 for 20 years warranty on the most vital components, namely on four tubes! That's now a bargain. And this is important because the rest you can buy for peanuts.
Welp, considering there are people charging 700$ for a JPG of a graphics card, explicitly stated in the description, I'd say this is fair game lol.
What's the problem?
Jan
Doesn’t follow AC safety standards - I can’t see a Earth/ground to the chassis..
I think my favorite parts are the bread bag twist ties to hold the wires and the masking tape used in place of electrical connectors or at least electric tape

Surely enhances the sound...??
There's a difference between being influenced by how something looks, and something being obviously low quality and unsafe. Maybe this sounds fine, but I wouldn't take the risk of connecting it to my speakers.
I wouldn't plug it into my house outlets. The wiring is atrocious. Even if it works, it's ridiculously unsafe. The builder had no knowledge of - or concerns about - basic mains safety. What... the...
I did way better from scratch assemblies when I was 15. Way, way better.
Look- no grommet on the mains wire. Unbelievable.
I did that once. My tutor (my buddy's dad an engineer with AT&T) said that if I ever did that again, that he'd chop my fingers off so I would never be able to use a soldering iron again.
Yes he was teaching a 13 year old how to build stuff with tubes. They'd call that child abuse now, but I never got a shock.

What a load of crapola.
I've been thinking I'm not ready to start selling custom stuff. People have been bugging me.
Seeing these piles of junk and blatant snake oil has made me more confident about my own builds. I have musicians telling me "I know you can do it."
