I did way better from scratch assemblies when I was 15. Way, way better.
Same.
Ebay is a strange place for prices.
I put up a speaker for sale and as it didnt sell I kept dropping price to get rid of it. It got to £50. I then thought the price was silly so decided to keep it, so put price up to £150 to stop it selling. Next day it sold !

If it's too cheap, most will assume there's something wrong with it.
For good reason, usually. This is well known in retailing.

I think "Sophia Electric" was another one with boutique pricing - and reputedly, a confused and sloppy look under the hood. Look at 'em now!
I remember buying an old at the time Carvin amp - this must've been almost 40 years ago - and finding the amount of hot melt glue used to hold things in place remarkable. Look at them now.
It makes me wonder how many known brands started off in a similar way, survived somehow, and eventually became valuable as a marketable brand, attracting attention of investors? I wonder what the very first Peavey amp sold to a customer looked like inside?
I dont mean to pick out the Lampizator guy, but I'd guess he started out like a lot of folks here "I wonder if I could change how this CD player sounds by putting a tube stage in it?". Now he has a finished goods audio product line, with his brand logo on the front panel.
I wonder if this guy, against the odds, will eventually make it? He's certainly sticking his neck out, in order to try -

If you read the product description, that "rough sawn MDF" gilds the lily somehow.
There's just no replacement for rough sawn MDF in hi-fi. It's right up there with 99.99% pure silver oxygen free wire wire and voodoo capacitors.

You know, all that marketing bullhockey sounds like satire to me. But I know for a fact that people believe it to their heart. I've dealt with them.
I knew a guy that knew absolutely nothing about electricity or electronics that used to argue with me like he was an authority. He would watch me build and say things like "Why use a resistor? Just let the voltage flow." And when he saw me using a heat sink he swore to God that transistors don't make any heat because of a commercial he saw in 1962. Yeah, a real expert.

Those products are sold by Malega Audio which has a separate website . That shows his address in Manchester UK. The Pre amp is stated as being outside of the UK (in Ukraine)
and quotes a shipping cost (£30) and customs and vat (£228). There is an interesting disclaimer on his website. He says a lot of his products are not made by him but he just takes a share of the sale and he attempts to distance himself from any warranty claims from those products.
That seems like an attempt to avoid responsibility for the safety of imported products. Im not a lawyer so Im not sure.

There are more of those types in the world, I've had a few customers like that.
Stubborn, insistent, always right.
And the young ones, fresh out of college too, highly educated from their dorm buddys who know everything from the internet.
Indeed, they "know more than me", and "I need to live in the future, not the past".
Gimme a break.
LOL! 🙄

Now listen, you know very well that rough MDF cancels all the resonances, vibrations of those tubes, and adds a pleasent warm "woodsy" flavor to the music.
And the voodoo capacitors give a " mysterious darkness" to the noise level that's just breathtaking.

You mean people who got their PhD in basically everything from the University of Youtube?
Everybody knows the Youtube comment section is where the real experts reside. 😀
You know, a lot of those Youtube "experts" are intentionally spreading misinformation.
In the US, there's a whole bunch of "think tanks" (an oxymoron) and lobby groups that flood social media with lies and crapola. Many pose as "experts" even though it's painfully obvious they're blatantly lying. Sometimes they masquerade as ordinary people. It's typical for them to have many different accounts so as to create a "bandwagon effect." Religious groups and political groups are the biggest offenders.

The other thing that gets me about the whole thing is who ever put it together has skill and knowledge. Why. . .
Other than greed, I can’t figure it.

That's another reason why I never became one of those social media zombies.
Facecrap, twitbrains, the whole bunch of them, not my cup of tea.
As for YouboobTube, its got its good parts, among the bad, you just gotta have some common sense to know what to pick to dabble in.
I sometimes use it to steal music for making cds. 😱
Oh, thanks, I will 🙂I think you nailed it. So it makes absolutely sense to show the mess inside.
Btw, you should look into your postbox
I rarely get any "inbox" stuff here.
They all must know I'm a miserable nasty old codger and run the other way.

There’s a certain satisfaction in being a miserable old codger, it’s my ambition 😀
Ever read Viz? it was an infamously inappropriate comic back in the 90’s

How much would a branded mass produced good quality tube or solid state amplifier cost, just to compare?
New and used in good condition?
Not as much as this, I think.
B & O are idle, he could use their or others facilities to make it look unusual...
Good quality means regular to higher end, not obscure audiophile...those are mostly overpriced for their material anyway.

Actually, I never saw that comic, thanks.
Being somewhat of a non-conformist type, I dig "inappropriate" stuff though.
