Nope just a soldier.
Sorry for the intollerant tone of my post, it's a sore spot for me. Canadians are prety tired of the US government trying to impose their will on our sovreign land and policies. No personal reasons other than that.

response from Chisolm
I emailed them to get bulb ifo before I pursued this, The seller said the bulbs where available for <$200.
I passed on it,
Hi John,
The lamp for the Galaxy V470 was discontinued by the manufacturer about
3 or
4 years ago. To my knowledge, there is no replacement; however, you
might
check with companies like http://www.topbulb.com or
http://www.bulbman.com
who deal with the problem of discontinued lamps all the time. You
might
also consider replacing the unit as replacement lamps are typically
around
$500 and for another $500 you can get a projector that will out perform
the
Galaxy and every other projector of its era. There's an article at
ProjectorCentral
http://www.projectorcentral.com/budget-projectors.htm
that talks about a couple of low cost projectors. Projection has come a
long
way in reducing cost and improving performance. Since the article came
out,
Epson announced the Powerlite S1 for $999.
If I can be of further assistance, please advise.

For Sale: Infocus Powerview 820
Hey guys,
I'm finally going to break down and make a power supply for my QA-2500, so I'm selling my Powerview 820 (besides - I need the cash). It's got the Infocus cable bus so you can use it with a computer if you want (you'll need a standard VGA cable, though) and it also plugs and plays w/composite and S-Video.

Re: Wth??????
A lot of the ebay goobs are trying to sell a link to internet pyramid schemes called "matrixes". You are supposed to put in some cash and wait for a few months and then you get your merchandise. Of course it is a scam. Check it out, but please don't get sucked into it...

If im corect, thats where Alan used to get his ballasts from and then he got it from another site which sells it for 115$ but he sells it for 125$ and increased the shipping for his own profit.
I emailed hellolights a while ago and they told me that they are in search for an magnetic ballast.

I looked up the specs and it's actually SXGA+, which is still very good. Response time is pretty weak though. But since people have enough trouble finding a 14" XGA monitor, this is a pretty significant find.
Samsung is very open about sharing datasheets, so finding a controller for this thing might not be too dificult.
