I wonder if someone could help me with this problem of mine …
It`s about Dynacord Powermate 1600, there is unsoldered wire as you can see on pic, it`s a white thin wire with pink stripes … Enigma, where to solder it ???
Unfortunately I don`t have service manual … Everything else looks normal, power ok, just no sound … Thanks in advance ...

the service manual is easy to get from online sources but it doesn't list wire colors.
are you certain this is why you have no sound?
what is the other end of the wire connected to?

Thanks for reply turk 182, other end is soldered on third pin from audio out on mixer (it connects mixer and pwr amp) 1. audio signal 2. gnd and 3 is this wire soldered directly on female connector pin (unusual). I`ll take pic later ...
just so i understand your diagnosis of your trouble have you confirmed that the amp section is good as in no faults, output relay operates,no dc at the output etc.
and have you tested for signal through the input to the master?or checked if you have signal at aux outputs.

strange indeed it looks like it's going to an unused pin so why it was added is a mystery,
are we looking at the mixer out or power amp in? and with the wire being attached to one output i would think that the other should pass signal.

This end is mix out, takes the signal to pwr amps thru those two shielded cables, later today i`ll have to continue with examination ...
the schematic shows simple two wire connections between mix out and amp in so i'm with you on that added wire is weird.
have you tried injecting signal at the amp input to see if the amp section is indeed working?

Here is latest update, fuse on -VCC was blown. I belive one of the amps is the cause, still checking out ... Still nothing on ,, strange wire,, ... Anybody ?
the strange wire might have been an attempt at repairing this unit(that wire doesn't seem to be factory). i'd concern myself with finding out why the -vcc went south.
sorry i'm the only one attempting to help.

If this is the CL1600 then the service manual has no layout.
Here is a link to the CL1600 manual. Hope it helps.

the amp section in the "power mate" could well be the same as a CL 1600 but the OP is hoping that resoldering his "mystery" wire is going to get his unit working again.
Any suggestions on replacing NJW0281G / NJW0302G would be appreciated ...
Also a electrical shema, suggestions, tips, nice friendly words would be heplful ...
