Hey, if anyone is still listening. Do I want to match the input voltage of the anode follower at the grid to match the output voltage from the plate? Is it that simple?
You want the output voltage at the anode of the anode follower to match the voltage at the anode of the first stage. The grid signal will be smaller by about mu. With equal resistors the fractional error in the outputs will be about 2/mu.
If you have phase splitter imbalance then you would get incomplete cancellation of even order distortion (harmonics and IM) in the output stage. This would show up more at higher power levels. It would not affect odd order distortion.
