Nobody has news from Nico.

Also i let him free to delete, erase or use the home pages the way he wanted, as boards were already delivered
who told you that?
Did Nordic confirm that my PCBs and amplifiers were sent?

Nordic was done in by "Battlefield 2" with my £200 and I have nothing to show for it.

Andrew...i am terrible sorry you have not received your boards

Those things, board design, manufacture and mailing to group buy friends were managed by Nordic only...directly from South Africa.

I do not know the ones has bougth...maybe a list is in the group buy thread, not sure.

I am sorry you have lost 200?...... was this the cost for boards?

I cannot understand.....battlefield?...what is this?

I understood you paid for boards and they never arrived?

Is that true?

Have i understood that correctly?

Man..this is a shame!...is this correct?

My instructions to Nordic was to sell boards by the cost price, a very small ammount (3 percent) to recover some losses he had last group buy because of his own failures into cost management for HRII boards) with absolutelly no real profit... as i told, maximum was 3 percent to recovery from losses he had.

Also because forum rules...we cannot use forum as advertising to earn money!... and i remember that to him and asked him to be carefull with that..... my name was together this stuff.... i told he should be carefull.

I am afraid, more than the site is defunct,...no one has news from Nordic... audio fanatic and computer fanatic cannot disappear this way.

...................................................................................................

I have created the amplifier based into the HRII...and HRII was based into Dx Amplifier...and Dx Amplifier was based into seventies designs.

I have tuned, and build to test...was tested and approved, then TAJ offered to help producing nice and decent schematic diagram....

Nordic made boards, i have helped and criticised and gave him some instructions (some fights because of the board happens)...but the whole thing was done by him.

His own things, alike speaker protection he could sell with the price he wanted...not more problem..but i thougth boards would be a very little price compared to 200 pounds!....i do not know exaclty but they should be less than 30 USD with mail costs included.

regards,

Carlos

Re: Why so few built?

Unfortunately www.DXamp.com seems to be defunct. I need to protect my speakers from this brute of an amplifier! [/B]

Hi Francois,

I tried the internet archive 'wayback machine' and there are three dates for this site saved. I didn't check whether they've got the information you are after...I'll leave that up to you!

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.dxamp.com

Cheers

Boards

Yes, I wanted to compare the different versions of the Dx and to build some modified versions. I ordered two of everything, including blank PCBs.

Hi Andrew, I have 2 boards partly polulated if you are interested. PM me if you are interested.

Chris

Thank you by the informations Twaksak..also Stuey

I am very, very ashamed because what have happened to you....i see why you were a little bit strange with me...now i can understand.

I would like to have boards to give you to compensate your losses..but i really do not have them.

Also was Nordic failure, not mine...what a shame.

You may be ****.. with me and Nordic...and i cannot say you are not rigth about that.

What a hell mess was done.

Someone was responsable to send kits to Europe.... to distribute.... Jack maybe.....

Have you ordered directly to Nordic.... say.... have sent him E mail?

regards,

Carlos

Please Andrew T, let me know why you delayed so long time

to complain about that.... you have the rigth to complain.

I also have not received my boards....it would happens in the last place, after all forum folks...in the last position... this was the agreement i had with Nordic.

I have never received too.

Maybe others have experienced the same thing...you are the first to complain.

regards,

Carlos

Andrew t has answered my question using forum direct mail

I do not understand your reasons not to post the answer publically.... as you have informed, to all forum, that something was missed, that you have not received boards and have paid for that...why not to answer simple questions publically too?

Why negative things was published open to all forum knowledge and your positive behavior not published.

regards,

Carlos

Re: Re: Why so few built?

Carlos,

I also got my boards from Nico promptly and at the promised price, so I have no complaint about Nico's group buys, or his own design, the speaker protection PCB. 😀

My problem is of my own doing, as you have pointed out. I did not build fast enough to finish the speaker protection before the instructions on his website went away. Of course I should have anticipated such an event and archived the instructions on my computer, but I did not, hence my inquiry if someone else might have saved it. :bawling:

Thanks for your care about this situation and your P1 creation. Meanwhile I will finish my P1 without the speaker protection and start-up with a smaller fuse and variac, driving an 8 Ohm resistor.

Hi Francois G

How does it sound to you? I have made mine without speaker protection added. There is no turn on thump and the amplifier has been running for a couple of days on my speakers with no problem at all. I figured for worst case the output fuse will protect my speakers.

Chris

Goeie dag ou Twaksak! (Ek is n lank-verplante Boer in die VSA). Ek hoop Nordic is OK - jammer oor die ding met sy groep koop.

I have completed everything (although not put in an inclosure yet) but wanted to have the speaker protection done before firing-up the PI, in case there are some teething mishaps.

Your comment that you did not have a turn on thump has given me the nudge to fire-up, adjust and listen.

Thank you!

Stu,

Thanks much for the pointer to the web archive. I tried it but it appears that the directions of the speaker protection circuit was not preserved.

Best wishes, friends,

Francois
