Why does she do it. SimpleSH does talk a certain amount of crap though (though that's mostly when she moves off of physics!) -- but a lot of her peers do not always agree with her as you say...

Surely you know exactly what happens based on SR . . . 😉What happens to mass of both you, the water and the glass?
What happens to mass of both you, the water and the glass?
In order to travel at the speed of light, both the observer and the glass of water would have to be massless, otherwise they would carry an infinite amount of energy.
However, for anyone travelling with the glass of hot water at c, time would pass by quite normally.
I thought we had established that if you travelled at the speed of light you would not experience the passage of time at all.
You know exactly what happens from SR . . .
You said time would "pass quite normally" for you and the glass of water, which would appear to contradict special relativity.
SH on entropy here (seems it’s another subject in physics in which a lot of professional academics have differing views)
It was German physicist Rudolph Clausius who, in 1865, gave the first mathematical version of the concept of entropy, and also gave it its name.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Clausius#References
It has been said that Clausius succeeded in coining a word that meant the same thing to everybody - nothing!
Is it a coincidence space cannot shrink...
Space does shrink in the Cyclic Universe theory: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclic_model
According to the theory, the Universe undergoes an endless sequence of cycles in which it contracts in a Big Crunch and re-emerges in an expanding Big Bang, with trillions of years of evolution in between.
P.S. Don't tell TNT! 😊
I meant if I were sitting with the glass of water. If I looked back at the observer, his time would be racing along while he would see me frozen in time. You said time would "pass quite normally" for you and the glass of water, which would appear to contradict special relativity.
All thought experiments of course.

The flying spaghetti monster alone knows why anyone would pay for anything on youtube....
So that they can get notified immediately the next rubbish video from that YouTube channel comes along?
However, there may be some special interest YouTube channels for which subscriber support is essential to ensure they can keep running.

If only we could harness those thoughts!

Apply 24V between the left and right ears and all will become clear. However, make sure the cranial antenna per the above graphic remains firmly attached to the scalp whilst performing said electro thought experiment therapy.

Good for her 👍👍👍👍
Steve's been on the forum today, Bonsai. He may be in the huff with me, but he liked your your post 'SH on QM' yesterday.
Regarding the doyen of thought experiments, here's what he had to say:
“…Words or the language, as they are written or spoken, do not seem to play any role in my mechanism of thought." - Albert Einstein
And regarding your "24 V between the left and right ears", perhaps I should employ a dim bulb tester!
