An essential depth of the statements, gravitation would not be explainable yet, is that mass does not fall into spacetime: Einstein's RT is quark;-)
Or quarks;-?

😉To paraphrase something from my youth:
"There is no Gravity... The Universe SUCKS!!"

If the sun is the anode, then which cosmic object is the grid?
Thermionic valves themselves are the force carriers!
Or just holding them apart and tapping their annoyance.Seems to be his thing looking at past papers. Who knows? But it's an interesting idea. Inertialess quark drive anyone?
Annoyance? Is that yet another sub-atomic particle?Or just holding them apart and tapping their annoyance.
The sub-atomic particle that may be of relevance to the discussion is the faster-than-light (FTL) tachyon.
The hypothetical "negative mass" tachyon may have the opposite gravitational effect to particles of normal mass.
Perhaps one day, like in Star Trek, we can warp spacetime with a Tachyon Drive!
P.S. Since the tachyon is a hypothetical particle, I am within my rights to apply a hypothetical property to it, however crazy it may sound! 😉

Before anyone takes scientists to task for discussing all these "hypotheticals", note that they don't mess about when it comes to claiming real discoveries.
Particle physicists traditionally require “five sigma” (5σ) significance in order to claim the discovery of a new particle.
This corresponds to about a one-in-2 million chance that the result is just 'noise', and was the threshold passed by the Higgs boson on 4 July 2012.

I'm waiting to see if they figure out why the number 1/137 keeps popping up in quantum mechanics equations and results. New constant or measurement bias?
I don't know if you are being sarcastic but the speed of an electron in the first orbit of a hydrogen Bohr atom is calculated to be 137 times less than the speed of light.I'm waiting to see if they figure out why the number 1/137 keeps popping up in quantum mechanics equations and results. The fine structure constant (𝜶), has been experimentally measured as 1/137.0359991, with only the last digit uncertain.
Being a pure number (no units) folks, it's considered to be one of the fundamental constants that describes the Universe.
It's all rather complicated, as Ethan explains: https://www.forbes.com/sites/starts...ne-structure-constant-and-why-does-it-matter/

By Jove, you're correct!

Feynman: It has been a mystery ever since it was discovered more than fifty years ago, and all good theoretical physicists put this number up on their wall and worry about it. Immediately you would like to know where this number for a coupling comes from: is it related to pi or perhaps to the base of natural logarithms?
Nobody knows. It’s one of the greatest damn mysteries of physics: a magic number that comes to us with no understanding by man. You might say the “hand of God” wrote that number, and “we don’t know how He pushed his pencil.” We know what kind of a dance to do experimentally to measure this number very accurately, but we don’t know what kind of dance to do on the computer to make this number come out, without putting it in secretly!

I think you know where I'm going with this. I want to build the world's largest SET amplifier. Or if there's multiple grids (Venus and Mercury anyone?) then I can do a class A "Williamson" single single ended amplifier, the world's largest ever. And if there's multiverses, then I can build a push pull Williamson amplifier with ONE MILLION WATTS.
I guess I'll have to wind my own transformer. I'll make a couple phone calls to see if I can get salvage wire and some help winding it in my garage.
I'll be famous! McIntosh say uncle!

I think you know where I'm going with this.
Since the Sun emits a stream of protons and electrons, perhaps we should think of it as a heated anode/cathode?
Rather than utilise an electrically charged cosmic grid, we could manipulate the plasma with a Superconducting Space Electromagnet (SSE™).
The SSE™ would deflect the electrons and protons in opposite directions to be collected at different locations in the solar system.
And, by varying the strength of the SSE™, a relatively small current could control the much larger plasma currents from the Sun.
The result? Class SSE amplification! 😉

May I correct you on the slight math error there... everyone can see that it should be....The fine structure constant (𝜶), has been experimentally measured as 1/137.0359991, with only the last digit uncertain.

May be, it is the heliopause;-)
