If any injustice has been done to Weber, at least he got a Physical Unit named after him, which will be more than Maxwell can claim.
The maxwell (Mx) is the CGS unit of magnetic flux and is named after James Clerk Maxwell.
Thanks for the heads-up, Steve.
Here is a comparison of the first test images taken by the Euclid Space Telescope's visible light instrument (VIS) and its infrared instrument (NISP).
VIS on the left and NISP on the right.
The patch of sky on the left is smaller than the size of the Moon as seen from Earth.

Are you aware, Maxwell had ready, the maths just invented by Hamilton to formalize his Maxwell theory ?

Why freeze outdoors with a telescope while you can enjoy the universe with software using Stellarium in the comfort of your home.

M. mchambin, I fear you have fallen down a rabbit-hole here. I detect a severe misunderstanding of BBCode.
Surely the correct expression is [Troll] Why freeze outdoors with a telescope while you can enjoy the universe with software using Stellarium in the comfort of your home. [/Troll] ?

In this household we believe in the 4D Standard Model of Physics:
Unless you have a better idea, and I admit to certain weaknesses on Gravitons, I'd keep quiet. 🙂

aritmo, as a first post in the extremely intelligent diyaudio.com forum I suggest you don't be too shy:
Nope. Childish Cartoon garbage. Grow Up. Sorry. We are grown ups here.

I could not recall the location of the back slash character

I severely developed and taught using HTML....Long ago.
Well said, everything relating to Non-Euclidean geometries and Einstein's relativity ideas is certainly Childish Cartoon garbage, and the United Kingdom's self-called "scientists" contributed so much to such crap. You got the essence and the main message of the video. Congratulations!aritmo, as a first post in the extremely intelligent diyaudio.com forum I suggest you don't be too shy:

The most "in the extremely intelligent diyaudio.com forum" do know about electric "oscillators"-)

I have to admit that without diyaudio.com lounge threads on Physics, I would not recently have worried about the expanding Universe, the neutral Kaon decay indicating CPT conservation and never in a million years, General Relativity!
I do wonder if Donald. E. Scott, armed only with his electromagnetic hammer is starting to see every problem as an electromagnetic nail? And no, I haven't watched the above video. But I do know about harmonic oscillators. Perhaps you can summarise for us, @cumbb?
I do find it helpful to read Physics books by sound authors:
I have nearly finished suzie sheehy's (interesting use of lower case, btw) interesting Particle Physics tome. Unusually, I have not found a single error in it, and my pencil is always poised to write in the margin when finding basic errors!
In Particle Physics, Symmetry is EVERYTHING. Emmy Noether knew that.
Thus in examining the elements, Helium4 and Oxygen16 are peculiarly stable. 4 and 16 being squares.
This is a most interesting Universe. Of course, we will never solve it. I merely seek a level of Adequacy, rather than Perfection in this World. 😀

That reminds me of what Gilbert Briggs had to say about perfection in his book More About Loudspeakers.
Talking of perfection, I was interested to read the following in the September 9th, 1962, issue of the Daily Telegraph.
"From our correspondent. New York.
PERILS OF PERFECTION
Tomatoes lose flavour
The cultivation of tomatoes in the United States has now
reached such a high peak of perfection, according to a
report published today, that they have lost their flavour."
Our knowledge of the Universe at the moment may be imperfect, but at least it's full of flavour! 😎
If "humans" were "logical", "Corona" would not exist either
Huh?

Only your second post in this forum and you're running down UK scientists?
I laughed so much, I nearly kacked my Bawbags!
It was a most bitter experience that yours truly was the most gifted Physicist At KES Bath School,
I hammered on to Head of School Physics that I must be allowed an Entry into the Special Physics Exam after "A" Level.
He was not having it. I had probably upset his boat!
Thus I grudgingly accepted the School Tuttell Chemistry Prize from Physics Professor Hernan Bondi:
The whole thing wreeks of injustice. But I put a brave face on it.
You are either a Physicist, or you are not.

Physics Professor Hernan Bondi
Sir Hermann Bondi is best known for developing the steady state model of the Universe along with Fred Hoyle as an alternative to the Big Bang theory.
He was the first to correctly appreciate the nature of gravitational waves and also contributed to the theory of accretion of matter from a cloud of gas onto a black hole.

Did you shake the great man's hand, Steve?
Electric universe is a non sense.
It is well proven there are 4 forces.
Gravity
Electromagnetism
Strong nuclear force
Weak nuclear force
Proven to scientists, of course not proven to crackpots.
