Hello Jason,
was you secretly testing the entry post yesterday night?
I saw your post with 0 response. I wonder why no one was posting.
I posted and after a while I couldn't find my post anymore. Then it was moved to another thread.
I was lucky I am the first one to enter and just wish....

Yeah, you know these are unobtainium parts from a genius of the industry when professionals that live of designing amps are applying for a lottery on a DIY project!
When do we find out if we won?
The current plan is listed in the info page.
What really happens depends on how much sleep I need.
A lot of screening and calculations need to be done first. It might take a day or two, but my current (new) plan is to post the first 90 winners as soon as they are known so that is made public and people have some closure.

I tested everything several times 🙂 Javascript countdown logic, redirects, does redirect still work after countdown finishes, off-site entry system, server-overload page, off-site verification tokens, yada yada... all in a days work.

I could find myself in the list from post #377 generated by "Who posted" function. I can also see my post in the lottery thread: #126. But I received no email notification either. I checked email in my profile and it is Ok. I even selected reset password and received email notification of that right away but no lottery confirmation.
> You may want to check into the lottery email function if you are to keep us all posted. Thx.

As Jason stated a few posts back, the email notification is not automatic, just for folks whose entry was directed off-site.
I thought the lottery process worked great today. The doorman process was a good idea. Thanks everyone for their time and effort today. A lot better experience than trying to get appointment for a CVID-19 vaccination.

That should appease a lot people! Thanks Jason. You can get your much deserved sleep and now we can help point everyone asking if they got in to that post!

Thanks for all of your work on this, Jason! Being a former software engineer, I can appreciate the level of coding and testing and backup planning that goes into an effort like this!
Jason, you're the only person on the list that you posted that joined the forum before me 😉

Thanks Jason, hope you have had a strong coffee or 3 by now, seeing you have probably already done 10 hours or more straight so far this morning on this.

Several strong flat whites in....
Jason, what’s the best way for me to talk to you privately? I simply want to send you a gift of appreciation (and prove that I’m legit) without making it a public affair.
Not necessary, but thanks anyway.
I can be contacted directly via the helpdesk at contact@diyaudio.com, just say you are looking for me and your email will be assigned to me directly.
If anyone would like to donate to the two charities, I am working on a method to do so. I have approval already from Shopify to add a donation widget to the store checkout for those that are purchasing (zero obligation). After the dust settles, I will get all the finances signed off by my CPA and an official statement made. If you would like us to donate for you I'll make a way to contribute via the store. Alternatively, please consider donating directly (especially if you want claim a tax deduction). They are both very good causes.

I actually suggested that everyone entering the lottery made a donation and think of it as "purchasing" a ticket, before actually knowing if we won or not. I followed my own advice. But I did it myself via de forum donations (just the minimum value).... If anyone would like to donate to the two charities, I am working on a method to do so. So use it as best you see fit, adding to the charities or using it yourselves, whichever you think is the best use! Big thanks!!
Rafa.
If anyone was wondering what our odds are, (180/1108)100= ~16% chance, assuming most of the 1108 members get verified. Good luck guys!

I think it will turn out to be a bit less than that after the second sign up window in a few hours and additional tickets for each thread contributed to and donations to the site.
It's not as simple as that.
