I had a 12” sub and used a 10” as a radiator and wow man the 12” has more displacement and the 10” went bang and nearly sucked in lol they must be the same displacement or high excursion

From my experience you had the two backwards. You want the drones to be capable of more air movement than the active driver. I've not been happy even when the drone was the same size, it really sounds better when it is considerably larger. ie: the one 12" should have a minumum of a 15" drone or even two 12's.
