DIY MICRO SEIKI RX 5000 TURNTABLE

regular & Co.:

This is a shot in the dark: some of the Micro Seiki turntables had a vacuum hold-down feature that employed a silicone gasket that ran just inside the perimeter of the platter to contain the vacuum. I own a Maplenoll Apollo that used the same technology until the gasket fell apart. Might you know of a source for replacement gaskets?

Nice looking project, by the way!

Scott

Hi All,
This is A turntable is made by our group.
The next few days I will set up a sturdier shelves 😀
Do any of your parts work with the original? I'm specifically wondering about bearing assembly (I can't even find info on the size of the bearing if it needs replacing). I inherited one from an old friend who sadly passed away and it needs some love. Thanks
