Is there anybody who has done this project in "C"?
I'm looking for open source code in "C" to do my project, digital controlled amp with input Cdp, FM, and aux usign AVR. Please let me know where can I get the source code in "C" to controll cdrom

All I can suggest is to try a different drive.
Or, give up and buy a DVD or Blu-ray player from a thrift store. Those all have S/PDIF outputs, which I seem to remember was one of the main motivation for turning CDROM drives into audio players. Newer players tend not to have front-panel displays, though. Some of the no-name models have undocumented support for DVD-Audio.
