OkBy mixing the circuit chain with different purity of copper? As said before, chain is as strong as its weakest link.
I already did, and he sent me some very god quotes! I’m very excited about the prospect, as they are an original manufacturer seller rather than simply a broker/seller.
So you received a quote from God! When you start making your cables ( power cords included?) you can call it the God project.
@Evenharmonics , I posted a new thread to debate the possible merits of OCC! I copied and pasted the theory as I understand it, so let the games begin over there! I'm excited to hear what you have to say in the thread, respectfully.
Here is a link to the thread:

I thought my question was, "What is the possible benefit of OCC audio wire?" Why won't you focus on that? 🙄
Agreed! I went ahead and quoted that in the thread. It's a good question. Check out the thread, I am directly talking about the application of audio there, as per the initial post!I thought my question was, "What is the possible benefit of OCC audio wire?" Why won't you focus on that? 🙄
@heyitsmedusty
Did you know about the "Ignore" feature on this forum. I just found it. It hides selected members and is very effective for wiping out determined trollers. As you know responding to them just feeds them. The kindest thing you can do for them is totally ignore them. It not just irresponsible to feed them. Its actually cruel.
I found the feature by hovering the mouse over the posters name on the left and a box pops up > More Options >Ignore
So quick and effective.
Enjoy.

Done and done. My life is much better now 🙂
Thanks your kindness to the local trolls and for improving the SNR of this site.

I thought hard about whether I should also poke into this wasps' nest....
It's obviously a hot potatoe that can cause tempers to flare. And kudos to you dusty for doing it.
I made some cables with Yu's silver and copper wires.
However, I have never done a serious comparison test with them. I'm also not sure if my system is good enough to make subtleties clear, which is what this is all about.
But why shouldn't I use wires that are obviously better and still affordable? Then I don't need to worry about this issue any more....
Yu is a very attentive and courteous person. Good to make business with him 👍

If you can't hear differences, how are the Yu cables "obviously better"?
Did you ever consider that that old "system is good enough to make subtleties clear" issue might actually be the other way around? That a poor system is upset by different interconnect parasitics while a properly designed, high quality system is able to deal with that and won't have it's reproduction upset by differences in cables?

Good points. Anyone criticising your choice could do with a bit of self-examination and getting a life.
Another theory, go for it and get happy 🙂If you can't hear differences, how are the Yu cables "obviously better"?

What constitutes better wire in audio application? But why shouldn't I use wires that are obviously better and still affordable?
Better Gables means ones that first of all doesnt break easily. They should have the right stiffness and length also. If changed a lot they should have connectors that are durable and easy to grab. Silicone sleeved ones just reel so nice.
Cheers!
Cheers!
Obviously better to him seems to be that he can't hear a difference to the cheaper ones. What constitutes better wire in audio application?
