DIY Cables - Sourcing True OCC Copper Wire

@heyitsmedusty

Did you know about the "Ignore" feature on this forum. I just found it. It hides selected members and is very effective for wiping out determined trollers. As you know responding to them just feeds them. The kindest thing you can do for them is totally ignore them. It not just irresponsible to feed them. Its actually cruel.

I found the feature by hovering the mouse over the posters name on the left and a box pops up > More Options >Ignore

So quick and effective.

Enjoy.

THANK YOU!!

Done and done. My life is much better now 🙂

I thought hard about whether I should also poke into this wasps' nest....
It's obviously a hot potatoe that can cause tempers to flare. And kudos to you dusty for doing it.
I made some cables with Yu's silver and copper wires.
However, I have never done a serious comparison test with them. I'm also not sure if my system is good enough to make subtleties clear, which is what this is all about.
But why shouldn't I use wires that are obviously better and still affordable? Then I don't need to worry about this issue any more....
Yu is a very attentive and courteous person. Good to make business with him 👍

If you can't hear differences, how are the Yu cables "obviously better"?
Did you ever consider that that old "system is good enough to make subtleties clear" issue might actually be the other way around? That a poor system is upset by different interconnect parasitics while a properly designed, high quality system is able to deal with that and won't have it's reproduction upset by differences in cables?

Another theory, go for it and get happy 🙂
