DIY Audio Analyzer with AK5397/AK5394A and AK4490

I actually like this kind of design even if it needs to be plugged into the line power. The high input impedance is what I like for doing DUT impedance measurements. The test voltage range give lots of flexibility for testing. How much is this expected to cost?

The AK4492 does indeed look like an interesting alternative. It will not make it into the first version though.
I have looked at bit at the AK4497, but I have not reached a final conclusion yet.

Lol, I can already see me selling off my V1.0 and buying V2.0 when ready in a year or two. :)

Question: would Neutrik NA2FBNC adapters work on the inputs to produce one single-ended BNC input from the balanced XLR?
The adapter is pre-wired with XLR-2 as signal and XLR 1 & 3 tied together for ground:

Looks like they also have an unwired NA2FBNC-UW for other wiring configurations.

Hi All,
I am happy to finally announce the official group buy for the Audio Analyzer. It took longer to get to this point than I had hoped for, but now it has finally come to the point where we are ready to receive orders.

Thanks for all your inputs so far. And for the patience.

You can find the group buy here:

Please keep technical discussions in this thread. And commercial discussions in the GB thread.

JensH - thanks for the specifications! Looks terrific.

One request, in addition to THD I would love to see the levels of specifically the 2nd and 3rd harmonics at 0BV and -10dBV. It has been a problem (high internal harmonic generation) on the QA401 tester.

Also I can see from the photos that I managed to get the gender reversed in my info request above about a BNC input adapter. Should be a NA2MBNC:

http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Neutrik/NA2MBNC/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMv0W4pxf2HiV9y0EyfHsAgRA31%252bJkUHaH4%3d

or NA2MBNC-UW for the unwired one.

Thank you!
