But those are no longer in the realm of audio equipment technology.neuroscience, audiology, neurochemistry, cranial nerve biology, sensory biology, consciousness science... I guess if someone has all the answers they can explain a working model of the brain and consciousness.
This certainly can be discussed in science forum but how far should it be taken on audio forum? I often see audiophiles getting confused between opinion derived from imagination and evidence derived from facts. Measurements sure would help to clear up such confusion especially now, what we can hear can be presented in graphic format. Can the same be done on what we think? I've heard about brainwave scanner and they do show differences depending on what the person is thinking / feeling. Now, there still are those who say that such measurements don't show certain aspects of sound improvements made by, say, lifting the speaker cables off the floor, putting neoprene sleeves over the cables and ... yada yada but never answer the specifics when asked. Perhaps they have something to be gained financially by keeping it unanswered? 😱 I'm not accusing you of one but I just wanted to see which way you would reply. Its laughable to me as an engineer to see people run a few ruimentary RMAA tests and think they have all the answers to the unexplored core of science.
