Did you ever figure out exactly what went wrong...?😱

Negative Design, So if you knew about the step by step disassembly site before you took it apart do you feel fairly confident that you would have succedeed with the dismantle?
Another words now that we all have a step by step guide, the risks are very small of damage are they not? So maybe I should go ahead and buy one if I find a deal? Or should we all the stick to cmv1512 or 1515? Specs seem better anyway dont they?

If you wish to pay 500$ for the CMV 1515 then feel free 😀 bcuz the site that had then for 239$ doesnt sell them any more maybe they re sell them again one day.
All in all this experience is a good one, i think i have knowledge on how these LCDs work, yes i would do it again and i think it can be done, but this LCD wouldnt be my 1st choice if i cant find any others for cheap then im re buying one.
the risks are still the same because i STILL do on now exactly what went wrong but i do knwo that i will be 100% more careful nextime.

Negative Design, the cmv 1512 is $233 on ms4me.com.
A few who have started taking it apart have reported it looks identical to the 1515.
