Ja
They have developed next generation that is way more complex and maybe not suited (not yet at least) for customers.
It requires a lot of experience and it takes a lot of time to setup.
You also need several discrete subwoofers, since unison is creating cancelling signals out of phase from the speakers in the surround system incl the subs, it is extremely important that the speakers is fixated and not moved around after this tuning. I have experienced this in special demo situations and it is remarkable. All speakers is acting in "unison" to correct for the standing waves and reflections in the room. You need an array of microphones and many measurements. And if you mess up it will sound terrible...
Are you using Dirac with the QUAD´s?
So how did i go! Are you using Dirac live 2.0 now? Dirac is fantastic, probably the best acoustic SW in the world. Also solved the last problem.
The Dirac manual states: 'Be sure to plug in the UMIK-1 before starting DiracLive'.
Well, that causes the Dirac problem with the 'miniDSP Flex responsing in unexpected way'.
There must be some conflict between the two.
If you connect the Umik mike after starting Dirac from within the miniDSP app, Dirac auto-recognises the mike after a few seconds and Bob's your uncle.
Leaves me wondering whether these issues are mine only?

Dirac3 is the current version, and should be available for all MiniDSP products that support Dirac and have a license. I use Dirac3 on my 1st generation SHD. Started with Dirac1, but I have no recollection of ever having used Dirac2, I think I jumped from 1 to 3.
