627 died or 637 died !?!?!? I have experience with both and I never had one dead. I gave a reaction because the 637 ( stable with gain greater than 5, see datasheet ) is practically only useable in phono or poweramplifiers but not in filters...

OPA637 and 627 are superb operational amplifiers (and expensive) the difference (in sound) is huge compared with NE5532 or something like that.

opa637 did give oscillations in the filter although not always audible.
I changed it to OPA627 (thanks for mentioning jean-paul)
and signal is clear on the oscilloscope.
Changed the crystal to 16.9344MHz (2dB more Dynamic range).
Dir1703 doesn't need reset always.
I think it is plug'n'play if there is spdif input
when you power on the circuit.
