Its popular enough in Greece too. Here's a user's video of it re-branded as Duratool.

Not pro level by any chance but people should judge based on their budget and workload needs. It has spares available nonetheless.
...And a nice desoldering general video

Success!! thanks for your advice, it is really really ugly and I was looking for sparks and to my absolute amazement the pinball dot matrix display that the board drives that y'all helped me fix lit up like a xmas tree when i plugged it in. Most gratifying!!!
Now what do I use to coat some traces that are exposed as they lost lost their green coating.
the removal and replacement of the transistors was difficult. I surmise it was because they didn't have the eyelets like the resistors and diodes did. i severely burned the board where the transistors were mounted because the solder would not melt, both times ,unsoldering and soldering. Next time i will have a desoldering gun.

You really need to go out and get some 'e-waste' units to practice on. See how many components you can remove without damage. I don't believe a desoldering gun will be all you think it will be.
Solder ALWAYS melts with the right tools and if you're burning boards your soldering iron is WAY too hot.

Look for "Solder Mask Touch Up Pen" or "Solder Mask Repair Pen"
On the other hand I don't know how nail polish would stand against heat and time in a non demanding environment and application as a quick and dirty coat measure.😀
I imagine it would not be very profitable , but could I sell components scavenged from "e-waste? If so what sites are best?
That makes sense.Ebay, given they are sought after parts for vintage restoration of collector's machines.
