DAC-END 32 bit
After the success of DAC-END with Andrea Ciuffoli:
DAC End - the AD1865N-K with single ended vacuum output stage
DAC End 2 - the AD1865N-K with single ended vacuum output stage
Andrea and Quanghao continue to study the DAC, with ES9018 chip, a DAC chip and new potential.
After nearly two years of support from chip manufacturers and work with Andrea, He and I had initial success with the 32-bit DAC, we call it the
DAC-End R.
The sound is Very detailed and balanced, high fidelity, very impressive to me!
These are the first images of the DAC-End R
Thanks you!

So the $64,000 question - does it sound better than the AD1865 or is this just to accommodate customers who want more bits?
I really think ESS needs multilayer PCB
I think a good layout design does not need to use the multi-layer PCB.This is my layout!
thank you very much!

It is better technology, and new.
Dac-end) AD1865) close and natural sound quality, it has conquered my system; Nôtday today, I want to find new ones, and there are many options such as USB input,
32-bit DAC-potential,
DAC-END is the standard DAC for my system!
thank you!
Sounds like a no then - I appreciate your honesty. So you are adopting ESS9018 because its getting harder to obtain AD1865 chips (they're discontinued by ADI AFAIA)?

yes!
thanks your advance!
Quanghao

DAC layout is not a simple job, always need separate DGND and GND.Need to calculate properly, and connecting them together, and the energy supply for the function of the chip!
In terms of the multi-layer PCB is the best choice, but with the existing conditions, 2 layer PCB is easier!
thanks

I think you already know the answer: it sounds much better but not at 44/16 🙂
I'd be surprised if it sounded better at 88k2/16 🙂
I have to test

i like passive I/V,
Here is the layout I just completed, I need to set the test PCB.
PCB including, DAC, IV, and the source,
You can use the IV tube in:

Will DAC-End R be offered as a kit or fully assembled and tested?
Andrea and me, need test with new design layout, and say you later, please waite me.
But i think kit assembled +tested, it is better for all. You only make iv stage for it.
