please check the jum Iv , in the pcb dac and the pcb IV!
or you can teck out all jum IV, run it in the V-out
thanks
Many Thanks
Have checked all jumper and they are good. Taken all opamps out to check all resistors in the output section and on the right hand side.... R21 and R23 are 470ohm. On the left side, R21 and R23 are 283 ohm. On the left hand side, there is one extra resistor at the C?? position just next to R21 and is 176ohm. Should both sides be the same? Should i take out that extra resistor? Cheers Herbert
Hello Ganghao, just received my DAC in perfect shape. I have no pb with menu, volume and all. It is working perfectly with AES/BU but on coax it has difficulty to lock, I see 47 kh instead of 44, with high scratches in the sound. When I use my Lavry DAC (that seems to beaten by your DAC with both AES.BU) with the same entry (digital output of a T1000 Accuphase through Nirvana digital cable), no pb with coax. I use BNC/cinch adaptor with your DAC, I don't think this could explain. I will try with a 75 BNC BNC coax, I will cut one side and use a cinch for final verification of the pb. But I intend to use this entry, the pb will have to be solved

Based on Domi_78's experience in page 116, probably adding a 100nF (0.1uF) or 1uF cap in C36 will do the trick.

- You mean "47KHz instead of 48KHz". My DAC displays this value also. Maybe because of a problem of rounded, all the displayed values are 1 KHz under the true value.I see 47 kh instead of 44,
I suggest to Andrea/Quanghao that they modify the displayed value : "##KHZ" -> "##.#K".
- This way needs the same number of characters on the display and the displayed value will be more accurate.

Hi bertchai! I fault this place, please help me fix it! take a look at this picture! Thank you much
I presume this is a joke ... 🙄
- What does mean all the dual resistors ? (R21/R24, R33/R37, R49/R50, ...)

Oh, I'm very very sorry, I'm wrong!
it is!
thanks

- Don't worry Quanghao and thank you very much.Oh, I'm very very sorry, I'm wrong! thanks
Hello Ganghao, pb is for problem. I listened a long time this night on AES BU, the sound is really good, definitely better than my DA10 Lavry (more detailed in all the audible range, better stage definition, more air, a little more dynamic although the DA10 was quite good on this point). I will try a better cable with no adapter.
Ok for 0,1 µ bridging C36, if someone could put a jpg or just the page number if this jpg is already on the side, in the 132 pages…
I also mailed Amareno to buy a USB module, more to complete the DAC than to use it in the near future. But when I will have the courage to digitize my 5000 CDs and vinyls, it could help!

Hi myfavoritething!
That is not an error, but errors displayed on the screen, you do not worry.
C36, I have deliberately abandon it, to sound better, if you do, you can use 1 uF capacitors in that position.
Please se post #1086 , and #1095 . Thank you!
I already have plans for your new updat code!

Yes, it is the parallel resistivity beneath the PCB, you can change the sound quality, by installing another parallel resistors!
try it see stars, I will send you the new IV for you to do that. You will be surprised!

Thank you I do not like Mini Melf since I first used them 30 years ago. So I will change to Takman Carbon.

yes, i like it!
Yes, it is my tuner, with analog and digital outputs (coax, that your DAC does not like).
Now my system is T1000 (tuner) or CEC 51 XR (CD) , then a ST1 Trinnov (high end French analog digital preamp with room optimizer), feeding with its coax digital output the coax input of your DAC (and this time it works, I don't ask me why, its is the same cable), then the DIY amplifier (NCore 400 Hypex) driving a pair of Tannoy GRF.
I tried to feed your DAC by the AES output of Trinnov (professional RME A/D card) and this time the sound was weak and scratchy (remember, its was working perfect when fed with the AES output of CEC), this is why I use the coax input (I prefer AES/BU, when I can choose!). Indeed, the AES and coax inputs of your DAC behave strangely. In every case my old DAC (Lavry DA10) had no difficulty to perfectly read data). Better copy old circuits than designing new ones for the digital inputs, as the musicality is not there.
However, I am satisfied from the sound quality. Waiting for the new output if the sound is better.

Have you sent the email to Amanero & got any reply ? I sent an email last week but no reply so far. I know it's summer time, maybe they close their operation during holidays.
merci bcp & a+
