A lady replied saying she had the Vanguard .3ppm in 11.289 but wanted to do a private sale via pay pal - it spooked me a bit.
I would not be covered by E Bay if the product was not OK.
Then I worried about fakes...

Ordered the rest of the regs, heatsinks and diodes. Went for BYV27-200 because I know them from previous builds.
Soldered on Dubilier 10000uF/25V 2pcs to the B1 board.
Jumpered so IN2 is selected and jumpered CW & W on each channel since I wont be using any pot.

I've been told that the second pair of AD797, the ones B1 would replace, is a 12db/oct filter, and that the B1 isn't suitable. The one who told me this said he'd look into it more tonight.
Originally I planned to connect the B1 back to the DAC PCB (just put a jumper instead of 10uF filmcaps on PCB since B1 already has them), this could cause positive feedback and oscillation according to a member on a Swedish forum.
The enclosure I had in mind, needs new top/sides though....was thinking some nice wood...
Connectors will be all CMC, not just the one in the pictures.

I usually use 0,6mm 99,999 etc pure silver wire in an PTFE tube.
Should I do this in this build too, or do I need a shielded cable for signal wiring?

But I DO believe the parts I'm using are far better then the ones supplied w the kit.
There had better be no smoke when I power on this dac 🤐
Still to buy: Transformers and TCXO....and later AD797 and maybe OPA627.
The B1 will become a preamp that I'll sell if it doesn't vastly outperform my arcam.
I found a top to my enclosure, original piece rather cheap.

What do you guys clean of flux with?
I tend to use aerosol isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol?) and a toothbrush.
Asking because my better half has been cleaning the apartment and doesn't know where she put my isopropanol...
Got other forms of alcohol, for cleaning wounds, not ethanol.
