Getting There
Nearly at the point to start drilling the chassis, but will probably move the power supplies into their own box. The (incomplete) output stage power supply (E-I transformer, blue turret board, 2x chokes & DC heater supply (6 caps on stripboard) is taken from Thorsten Loesch's design, which is optimised for the AD1865: http://www.fortunecity.com/rivendell/xentar/1179/theory/vasfda/vasfda.html
No bypass capacitors used & Black Gate PK used for all IC decoupling. Analogue power supply uses Elna Silmic and digital uses Elna Cerafine & Oscon SP. Shinkoh I/V resistors & PRP resistors everywhere else. Minimal magnetic parts are used, so even more reason to put the transformers in their own box!
Teflon sockets, 6H23n-EB tubes, 1/2 watt PRP resistors & film/oil Obbligato output caps (large as they're driving a passive preamp) for the SRPP gain stage again taken from Thorsten Loesch's design.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I have another question:Are the Electro harmic and the Sovtec good brands of the 6H30?They are among the cheapest anyway.
Wich brand did you use?
Wich brand did you use?
Nevermind I found a pair of 6H30 in my drawer, but iT would be interessting to know wich current you would use for Ecc99.
Which one of the regulators (LT1084,LT1085) am I going to use?
Is it the adjusable or the 5v verision?

yes!
lt1084, 1085 you can use, 5 v , it is ok!
Is it a good idea to use 2 2volts Led´s in seres instead of the kathod resistor for the 6H30? (A total of 8 Leds)
Quanghao do you have a BOM for the board you sent me as the resistornumbers don´t match with the new pcb´s?
Edit:Actualy I see now this board only have one kathode resistors wheras the new board has 2/tube...
Didn´t you have any new Pcb´s to send?....

The Iv stage!
if you use for DAC, the R29, R30, R45, R46 = 2K
If you use the sample On Pre: R29, R30, R45, R46 = 220K!
Thanks
Quanghao,
Can you explain this in more detail..?
I'm using 220K and I'm using it with a DAC! Are you saying I should be using 2K?

1. if you use for DAC, that is 1K,9 2K//2K) it is one par filter for DAC
On PCB DAC, there are 0.01uF +L + 1K( but 1k I put one PCB IV)
2. If use the sample one PRE, that is 100-220K
thanks

Please go to this link, the DAC-END up dat 20011
The best PCB and excellent layout, the best sound:.

Has anyone lowered the 33R CCS resistors to 15R or another value? Thinking some more current wouldn't hurt with decent heatsinks? Lots of people on the Salas DCB1 reporting better sound with higher current.
In another DAC http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digital-line-level/137976-experience-diy-dac.html
I use salas shunt and I use 15 ohms without heatsinks, works fine.

im interest of dac ash.... did you have stock of pcb mr quanghao??
please give me total cost 1set pcb dac ash n payment method..
i send u email from ermac_1982@yahoo.com
thank you
