So, for the regulators for Flexreg. 7805 and 1085 are available. I don't think I ll understand much from reading datasheets 🙂 I added LT1085CT-5#PBF only it was more expensive than the rest (thus better, in my mind). But honestly, I have no clue what to go for 🙂
Drop their a mail and asks two jumpers strap to use it in ad1862 conf J3 and J6 shorted on sélection header
PSU2 hard to beat for the price for the ad 1862 5v + 12 v.
PSU1 already 78xx for cheaper. I'd choose something cleaner than the 7805 for the clean side of the JLS. For the usb side 7805 is perfect with a 220 uf cap or more at output.

A few more AD1862 available, US/RoW now and EU later this year: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/...n-and-ad1865n-j-dac-chips.368012/post-7734229
You can, but from simple opamps in I/V sound better LM6171, OPA1655, ADA4627-1, ...
Dedicated (galvanically isolated!) PSU for the usb side of the JLS made a huge improvement for my 1862 based DAC. I was surprised. Really big difference to the extra regulator that powered the USB side before.
So for LDO the higher psrr value the better, right? There is little or no correlation (be it 7805 or 1085) between regulator price and psrr... I ll probably get several different ones just to try out.
Miro lists a couple if you click his link to his blog on the first post of this thread.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006240735845.html is one of the XMOS options he listed. He also has one you can build, I have built 2 of them and they appear to work just fine.

The male pins ... Usually JLS ship some. You probably need female pin connectors to be installed on the Dac board. 2.54mm pitch.

Choose SITIME crystal option. Tested and works without error with original drivers.
