And what I have posted is for the JLSounds stacked Ad1862, whereby the glue logic chips are skipped because the i2s to pcm is done by the JLSounds. this is what voxxonline is configuring for his project. Really has to depend on how one wants to use the Dac to choose appropriate configuration on the JLSounds board.
Ok, I understand👌What I have posted is for JLsounds i2soverUSB viii FIO board. I have no idea which board you have.
Ehm... Guys... I thinks I shot the two DAC Ic... Was wiring things in the new case...
What test can I do to tell if they're ok?

Just keep them away on the complicate DAC to check them on a simple V1.3 with a simple standalone single DIP8 op amp. There is a good chance it is not the ad1862 while th output is not diodes protected inside.

pull away the two dac1862 you believe to be dead to test them on a simple 1.3 V Board with op amp output in order to check. You have two pcb boards, no ?
That's the simpliest way, but maybe you haven't both pcbs already populated ? My understanding is the tube version was the second one you made ?
Cause it could be the front end or the output if not the ad1862 chips. Maybe with your tube you keeped the DIL8 socket clean ? It could be anything like the CCS, etc ! So better first to try to check the AD1862s away from that DAC.

Output stage works, there's sound when I inject signal.
Scoped lrck, bck and data, they're there.
Voltages are ok.
I populated only the first board, not a second one.

I don't know what AoL and AoR are.
Now it looks like this, I took out the opamp components from board (and triple checked they were not in the DAC circuit. Signal is took from pin2, or better, the resistor close to it.
Surely I'm missing something.

It is. But I run into a problem with the amp which I need to rectify first. Unexpected oneSo it's making music ? 🙂
https://a.aliexpress.com/_ExsPi7X@Michelag can you separate and test the Amanaro from the blue transport PCB it is attached to?
What is that blue input board?

I tested well coaxial, which quite strangely is better than optical. For usb I didn't focus on sound quality, was doing some testingIs the sound from all inputs the same or is usb still better?
I'd trade amanero for Xing U30. It's noticeably better. Please compare usb and spdif inputs. For usb I didn't focus on sound quality, was doing some testing
