I only use the 78XX for auxiliary things, mute circuit, timers, protections, relays and the like. I buy Chinese ones and it works well for that purpose, as long as it is not overloaded, say up to 40% of the rated current.

I've noticed that I've reversed the connections on pins 1 and 2, I'm using pin 1 for the negative power supply and pin 2 for connecting the NR capacitor, are those pins internally shorted and are the same, or should I do as stated in the datasheet for the best performance?
Ok, do you think the AD1862 can be damaged and loose performance because of this? I've been running it for a while with the pins reversed and I haven't noticed.
Yes, I also tested red and orange. Vivid and Classic. I think OPA has more bass.
