And i'm wondering where is yours pcm63 🤣This is not PCM63. 🤣
Well, if I kept it like you on a board or a NIXIE into biscuit box - it would be destroyed in a week. Imagine a cat stepping into the DAC in the middle of the living room. Or I am when I get up at night. Plus you can be electrocuted. 🤣Of course it still works when he bolted it.🤣
Humm that is true cats like warm box for sleeping...Can fastly slide into a korean barbecue nigthmare for the nice cat...🥷

We do not keep cats and other types of animals. We only have those who come in on their own eventually, but that's all minor. 😏
The Pavouk AD1865 with AK4113 and JLS XMOS has been running in a plastic case for longer than your Dragon PCM63. And it is safe for use
until you take the cover off. 🤣

I knew I can catch animals in the forest with a good 300V tube dac... the most difficult is to find the good tree for the wall plug. At the price of the meat, miro's dacs are beginning to be even more financialy attractive.
The one I am building with tube could shortcut a bear...

Could you please share what is the inputs selector with the screen? We do not keep cats and other types of animals. We only have those who come in on their own eventually, but that's all minor. 😏

Ah, this is the AK4113. Now I see it.
Bought on ebay with blue LCD screen. LCD screens 16x2 can be bought separately in various colors for a couple of $. There is also an OLED version, a little more expensive, about $25. That would go, for example, with PCM63. I tried I2S through this device and directly into the AD1865. I didn't notice any deterioration in sound quality.

For those who are interested in a separate IV stage for their AD1862 (or other DACs) there is now a group buy opened for the Xen folded cascode CEN IV

Oh i have no doubth about that. It's the footprint, size, format, that does it for me. I have three different opamp sets incoming (two ordered after i've missed out on it) so budget is non existent atm. And mouser(and the rest) is quite the pain to order in Serbia (costs 100% more, as individuals we cannot import 4 or more of the same part here as it is considered as resale purpurposes), and i've just ordered a big one and troubled my best man in Croatia to have it delivered there.@Brijac - if its a consolation I can't hear any difference between the dip8 and TH version.....
Again, just to be absolutely clear :
The normal SMD FC CEN IV in DIP8 footprint requires +/-15V power supply.
It can be configured to work with +/-12V, with some increase in distortion.
The 15V version is not work with 12V, and vice versa.
If they are to be plugged directly into a circuit meant for normal opamp IV,
you MUST remove Riv and Civ meant originally for opamp IV, or risk damage.
I cannot emphasis this more.
