The triac in question is not the crowbar that shorts the speaker output to speaker return. It, or something like a SS relay, might be in the incoming 120 VAC to the AC transformer, to turn it on and off.
The triac in question is a large TO3 type riveted to the bottom floor of the amp. It is a type Q4025 or Q4040 or similar. The power switch merely turns the triac on and off, the triac controls AC current through the power transformer primary. Triac shorts and leaves the amp always on.

I've been working in the industrial electrical controls field for many years and haven't had a lot of experience fixing electronics down to component level.
My CS 800 amp developed a few problems and I'm close to having it back in full operation.
I wanted to share a picture of the component layout for the driver board I put together for myself. It makes finding the components much faster for the novice.

hello, how or where can i get a wiring diagram for the inside the amp? some of the wire has been moved from a friend who thought he can fix it. it just needed the fuse cap to be replaced, but then he forgot were the wires go? I need a picture of of the wiring diagram
Does your unit have a grill in the front panel? Is it 8 1/2" tall?. there are at least 5 revisions of the amp from ~1982 to 2016. No grill means rev a,b,or c. Grill + 8 1/2" tall is x.
