DIY Spruiker Box....

Thanks.
I had a look at your creation and I wondered a couple of things.
Ok for one you could put the mid/highs in swivelling cabinets ala the 'J7 Disco Robo' and see what it gives.....from hazy memory being able to direct the cabs on the Disco Robo's worked cool and with the right directing could give an overall sound that worked well.
The other question is regarding the down facing woofer....I would try putting some carpet strips or whatever sealing the floor to the cabinet at the back 3 panels so causing a bass compression driver radiating out the front as opposed to radiating 360* in the bass.
The cabinet may have to be tilted back to create a forward firing bass horn....try it.....also try the qp's.

Eric.

Work-Site SPL Comps.....

Eric, you are being bad. I am already going through the thoughts of what kind of all-in-one is next.

You are bad, bad, very bad. 🙂
Haha, ok so how about a bad as* work-site mp3/radio/speaker to nuke all those god-damn awful sounding Dewalt work site radios....with an inbuilt decently high power Fm transmitter tuned to THEIR radios broadcasting YOUR choice of music.
(search Ebay - "fm exciter", they even have mic input and up to 10W rf output)

Eric, the devious.

I like mine, it's presently over at BudP's house.

Sue says you can have it back. She won't tolerate things that buzz at her and the 127's are just sensitive enough to provide just that. Course, anything comes into this hose buzzes for a while! I do still want to use it for the BIG SHOW come June whatever.

Bud

Hi Bud,

I could have swung by today if I had known. I actually helped our mutual friend rake leaves for awhile, it was just the right weather for it. When that was finished, we went into the "Loboritory" for some Frankenstein stuff. He had mentioned at the Bottlehead meeting that you were down a bit, and told me today that you're not at 100% yet. I hope you're feeling up to par in the next few days.

I hope to have my "top secret project" to the point where I'll need your specialized knowledge and advice very soon. I'll also be working on the driver mods during this next week to have them finished in plenty of time for the presentation.

Best Regards,
Terry

Curious, never had buzzing as problems with mine, and I was testing some 98dB PD 6.5s the other day. Dodgy neutral at your place?

Remember that the amp is being used on the premises of "Bud's Bee Hive."

I believe that transformers have souls, and it was actually communicating with it's brethren that reside at Bud's house, in some sort of Sympathetic Electromagnetic Symphony.
😱

Best Regards,
TerryO
